PK has spunk and sentimentality…and also teaches English
Nothing like an Aamir Khan starrer to grab eyeballs of the learners, you can be sure that the perfectionist has put in the effort to ensure that everybody from 1 yr old to 100 year old knows about it. I was waiting with bated breath for the first movie review of PK to roll out, the sense of anticipation was killing. I was checking out NDTV, Indian Express, TOI, rediff.com, Bollywood Hungama, constantly to see who made it first. Finally the movie review came and I had my opportunity, the opportunity that I was waiting for since the first PK movie poster was launched. Suddenly I had the article that I was sure my learners would read with interest. This was something they were not going to miss, this was something they were going to devour.070-410 pdf Some of them had already seen it, they would read it to seek confirmation of their own perception, some wanted to view it so it was a justification to do so. I teach vocabulary, my passion for words and their ability to communicate goes beyond just fascination. I feel that there is an ‘appropriateness’ that has to be there, any word can communicate but the right word can inspire and stay with you for a long time.
I choose the title from the Rediff.com review as I somehow agreed with the words,
maybe I also felt the same about the movie. I sent
the learners the link and a definition of ‘spunk’ and they came up with many more words, all I can say is that an Aamir Khan Starrer has great potential to teach vocabulary, 210-060 pdfif you don’t agree then try it out.
